Kids Clothing Manufacturer in China: Safety, Fabrics & MOQ Explained

Children's clothing carries higher expectations than adult apparel: softer fabrics, safer trims, and labels that follow local safety rules. When you source kids clothing from China, the factory's compliance knowledge matters as much as its sewing quality.

Safety and compliance first

Ask your factory which markets you are shipping to. The EU, US and Australia each have rules on small parts, drawcords, flammability and labeling. A factory that exports kids wear regularly will already know how to avoid hood drawcords on young sizes, use non-toxic dyes and keep labels readable.

Fabrics that parents buy again

Organic cotton jersey around 180-220 GSM is the most requested fabric for baby and toddler basics. For older kids, 240 GSM cotton or cotton-poly blends survive school wash cycles while staying soft. Always specify pre-shrunk fabric to avoid size drift after the first wash.

Sizing and MOQ

Kids programs usually run from 12M to 14Y. We grade patterns for each size and can hold the same spec on file for reorders. The MOQ is 100 pcs per style per color, which keeps first-season testing affordable.
